Dave Martinka

Dave has been working with computers since the age of 9, writing his first program on a Tandy TRS-80. That might explain his penchant for green-on-black terminal themes...

Dave brings 12 years of experience in the Digital Signage industry, designing hardware and software products at MediaVue Systems. In this time he learned the importance of Business Software Infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code and the value of Software Development Automation.

Dave has been a traveling musician, proprietor of a guitar shop, audio repair technician, electronics assembly tech, customer technical support manager, product designer, cloud architect, and more. While seemingly disparate, the variety of experiences has caused Dave to appreciate different perspectives, and to consider both the 10,000 foot view and the microscopic view when approaching any project. This winding career path has culminated in a passion for automation and efficiency - a drive to chase perfection, tempered by just enough wisdom to know that perfect is the enemy of good. It is this pursuit of "practical excellence" that he brings to the Assured Systems team.
