LoRaWAN Gateways
LoRaWAN gateways are integral components of the LoRaWAN network, which is a media access control (MAC) layer protocol designed for large-scale public networks with a single operator. These gateways act as transparent bridges transmitting messages between end-devices and a central network server in the backend. Typically, they are connected to the network server via standard IP connections and are spread out to provide coverage over a wide area. Much like industrial wireless routers, LoRaWAN gateways are built to withstand challenging environmental conditions common in industrial settings.
