Our client is a leading global technology company who provide passenger information system (PIS or PIDS) to transit authorities globally. Their system provides real-time passenger information which includes both predictions about arrival and departure times of public transportation to enhance commuter experience. Operational information on the services running is collected from automatic vehicle location systems located on-board and transmitted to embedded computers which compare the information on normal running times and re-publish the actual times so commuters know whether their service is running on-time.

Due to the high volume, we selected a low cost embedded computer for this application which was able to operate 24/7 and be completely solid state.  Our NDiS B324R Fanless Embedded Computer operates over a wide temperature range of -20°C to 60°C and offers a great of performance alongside an integrated 3G module allowing the systems to communicate wirelessly. The compact size allows the devices to be mounted inside compact custom metal enclosures with the mounting kit provided.
