Details
Advantech's ADAM-4542+ can be used as a RS-232/422/485 point-to-point or point-to-multi-point connection for transmitting and converting full/half-duplex signals and their equivalents within a fibre optic environment. Fibre optic transmission offers the benefits of wide bandwidth, immunity to EMI/RFI interference, and secure data transmission. Fiber optics is the perfect solution for applications where the transmission medium must be protected from electrical exposure.
The ADAM-4542+ module is specifically designed to link computer systems or manufacturing machines equipped with a RS-232/422/485 communication ports. Using a standard SC type fibre connector, the module's fibre optic ports can accommodate a wide range of cable sizes, including 62.5/125, 250/125, 100/140 mm.
