The nROK 5500 series has passed the necessary harsh environment tests to reach EN50155 standard and IP40 rating, required for use on many railway applications. Based on the low power Intel Core i5/i7 processors, the nROK 5500 is designed especially to meet the criteria required for installation in rolling stock rackmounts. Rapid transit systems such as metro rail, commuter rail, high speed rail and tram networks will make the best use of the nROK 5500. The nROK 5500 is packed with eight PoE LAN ports and multiple storage bays with SATA interface and RAID capability for large media programs. These I/O connections are securely fixed with locks to avoid any system breakdowns caused by accidental I/O removal. Wireless communication design is enabled to support GPS functionality plus WiFi and WWAN connectivity.
